Waltz dancing through the night

Every year during the carnival season in Austria there is a huge amount of breathtaking balls besides the famous Vienna Opera Ball – more than 450 of them in Vienna alone! The Vienna ball season culminates in January and February. The old tradition of carnival balls still lives on in the city today. The visitors dance to waltzes in three-quarter time – and in the adjoining rooms of the respective venues the dancers also swing their legs to discobeats.
