Italian food lovers are in for a rare treat as five Marriott International hotels in Bangkok celebrate the 11th Italian Cuisine & Wines World Summit and hosts a constellation of five Michelin-starred guest chefs from October 9 – 12, 2019.

The 11th Italian Cuisine & Wines World summit will kick off on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 with a Gala Dinner at Rossini’s, the signature Italian restaurant at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok. Guest will experience an elaborate 10-hands dinner by the five Michelin-starred guest chefs over a 5-course menu of their own acclaimed signatures, paired with exceptional Italian wines.

Michelin Starred Guest Chef Francesco Gasbarro

Giorgio's, Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers

At Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Chef Francesco Gasbarro will serve his outstanding cuisine at Giorgio’s, the hotel’s Italian restaurant overlooking the Chao Phraya river. Born in Florence, Chef Francesco is the chef patron at La Bottega in Geneva, which was awarded a Michelin star within five months of opening, and Osteria della Bottega, also in Geneva and the recipient of a Michelin Bib Gourmand. Chef Francesco’s cuisine reinterprets classic dishes and flavors with contemporary flair. At Giorgio’s, his menu will include Snapper or Hamachi fish with Bean Needle and Cacciucco Sauce.

Michelin Starred Guest Chef Felice Lo Basso

At The Allium Bangkok, the brand-new restaurant at The Athenee Hotel, Chef Felice Lo Basso will showcase a combination of delicate flavors from different regions of Italy. He opened his first restaurant in 2016 in Milan, the Felix Lo Basso Restaurant, which received a Michelin star the same year. Chef Felice’s menu will include Squid Ink Potato Gnocchi with Baby Squid Ragout and Sweet Garlic Cream.

La Tavola, the upscale Italian restaurant and wine bar at Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel, will welcome Chef Domenico Stile, a prodigious talent and the youngest Michelin-starred chef in Rome. His cuisine at the one-Michelin star Enoteca la Torre a Villa Laetitia draws inspiration from the traditions of his Neapolitan roots while continuing to experiment with modern techniques. At La Tavola, Chef Domenico’s menu will include Lemon Risotto with Razor Clam, Vongole, Buffalo Milk Yogurt and Asparagus.

Chef Daniele Repetti will work his magic at The District Grill Room & Bar, the award-winning steakhouse at Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit. When Chef Daniele and his wife, Lucy, opened Nido del Picchio in Carpaneto Piacentino in northern Italy, the gifted chef quickly received a Michelin star. With more than two decades of experience, he is renowned for combining a limited selection of high-quality local ingredients to ensure each flavor, color and texture shines through. A highlight of Chef Daniele’s menu will be Smoked Lamb Loin with Pepper Cream and Jerusalem Artichoke.

Michelin Starred Guest Chef Tano Simonato

Rossini’s, the Michelin Plate-awarded restaurant at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit will host Chef Tano Simonato from Milan. His restaurant, Tano Passami l’Olio in Milan is the recipient of a Michelin star and numerous other awards. Chef Tano is known for his love of olive oil (the restaurant name means “pass me the olive oil”), and it is the foundation of his tasteful yet light signature dishes. Chef Tano’s menu will include his signature Red Prawn Carpaccio, Caramelized Fine de Claire Oyster, Black Rice Crumble, Pistachios and Potatoes with Seawater Air.
